On November 1st, the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Midrand was visited by members of the Citroen Car Club of South Africa. Management of the Club, once saw the golden dome, towering over the N1 between Johannesburg and Pretoria, and requested to undertake a sightseeing tour of the church and discuss the Orthodox church. The guests were greeted by the current priest of the church, Danil Lugovoy. After visiting the church and Parish centre, Father Danil answered numerous questions about the Russian church in South Africa, the history of the Russian Orthodox Church and spiritual life. The guests then raced off to a rally, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the release of Citroën Traction Avant, one of the first mass-produced front-wheel drive cars with a self-supporting body.
