Johannesburg Russian Tea Room Group visited the Russian church
On Saturday, September 9, the church of St. Sergei of Radonezh was visited by a group of South Africans Johannesburg Russian Tea Room Group. This society includes more than 141 people, people from 44 countries. All of them are united by the desire to learn Russian and to discover Russian culture for themselves.
Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi greeted the guests and showed the church, St.Vladimir chapel and the parish center with Sunday school classes and a library. The excursion aroused the keen interest of the guests of the parish. They asked questions about the history of the Russian Orthodox Church, the symbolism of church architecture and the life of the parish. The conversation continued with a tea with a homemade cookie in the parish center.
