{"id":2830,"date":"2023-04-14T22:40:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T20:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.st-sergius.info\/?p=2830"},"modified":"2024-02-15T22:48:34","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T20:48:34","slug":"velikaya-pyatnicza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.st-sergius.info\/en\/velikaya-pyatnicza\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 14 April Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy celebrated Vespers of Great Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the singing of the troparions \"Good-looking Joseph...\" the Shroud with the image of the Lord Jesus Christ lying in the tomb was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matins of Great Saturday was then celebrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the Great Glorification, with the funeral bells ringing, the Holy Shroud was carried around the church in a procession, after which the Paremy from the book of the prophet Ezekiel, telling about the general resurrection of the dead, readings from the Apostle and the Gospel - the latter spoke about the sealing of the Saviour's tomb in anticipation of His Resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the conclusion of the service, the worshippers made adoration before the Holy Shroud.<\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 14 April Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy celebrated Great Friday Vespers.
