The ruling bishop of the Diocese of South Africa was given the title \"of Johannesburg and South Africa\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Synod decided that Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, should be the ruling bishop of Cairo and North Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The temporary administration of the South African Diocese shall remain with the Metropolitan of Cairo and North Africa, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In view of all the above, at the divine service in the Cathedral of St Sergius of Radonezh we will commemorate our ruling bishop Metropolitan Constantine, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, as Metropolitan of Johannesburg and South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 24 July 2025, a meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church was held in Moscow.
