{"id":5959,"date":"2026-02-08T20:09:52","date_gmt":"2026-02-08T18:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.st-sergius.info\/?p=5959"},"modified":"2026-02-10T20:30:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T18:30:37","slug":"bogosluzhenie-v-robertsone-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.st-sergius.info\/en\/bogosluzhenie-v-robertsone-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The service at Robertson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 8 February 2026,on the Sunday of the Prodigal Son, the feast of the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Church of Russia, the dean of the parishes of the Diocese of South Africa in the Republic of South Africa, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi, rector of the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg, visited the Church of St. Mary of Egypt in Robertson, where he celebrated the Divine Liturgy with Archimandrite Zachariah (van Wyk), rector of the parish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The service was conducted in Afrikaans and Church Slavonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the service, the parishioners of the Cathedral of St Sergius presented the icon of St Mary of Egypt and the box with the relics of the Saints to the parish in Robertson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Archpriest Daniel gave Archimandrite Zacharias incense and candles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the service, the fellowship continued over a meal.
