On 3 March 2026, a meeting of the clergy of the clergy of the clergy of the parishes of the South African Diocese in South Africa was held. The meeting was led by Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi, rector of the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg.
The main topic of the meeting was the consideration of candidates to be sent to study at one of the theological seminaries of the Russian Orthodox Church as part of the educational programme of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The meeting was attended by Caleb, a parishioner of the Church of St John of the Cross in Cape Town. In the course of the conversation, the clergy of the parish spoke with him to assess his level of knowledge of the Orthodox faith, his understanding of the basics of church life and his familiarity with the liturgical tradition of the Orthodox Church.
During the meeting, a number of other issues related to the current life of the parishes of the parish were also considered.
