On 22 April 2025, Tuesday of Holy Week, the Feast of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St John the Ledstvennik in Cape Town, South Africa.
His Eminence was served by Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi, dean of churches of the South African Diocese in South Africa, Priest Nicholas Esterhuizen, rector of the parish, Archimandrite Zachariah (van Wijk), Priest Jacob Smets and Deacon Isaac Sifuba, clergyman of the exarchate in South Africa.
The liturgy was celebrated in English, Church Slavonic, Afrikaans and Kosa.
At the end of the service, the Bishop delivered an archpastoral address in which he congratulated the faithful on the Feast of the Bright Resurrection of Christ. He then greeted the clergy of South Africa and the parishioners of the church.
Each clergyman received an Easter egg, and the parish received a set of covers. All the worshippers also received an Easter egg as a gift.
