On the night of 19 to 20 April 2025, the Feast of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, celebrated midnight vigil, procession, Paschal Matins and the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom in the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh of the Diocese of South Africa.
His Eminence was served by Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi, rector of the cathedral, and Deacon Stephen Hayes, clergyman of the parish.
At Paschal Matins, Metropolitan Constantine read the Word of Ophthalmology of St John Chrysostom for Holy Pascha.
At the Liturgy, the Paschal Gospel was read in five languages.
Archpriest Daniel read the Easter message of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
After the intercessory prayer, Metropolitan Constantine consecrated the artos.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Konstantin congratulated the clergy and parishioners of the cathedral on the feast of Holy Pascha, presented the parish with a large decorative Easter egg, and gave an egg as a gift to each believer. Father Daniel presented the Bishop with a painted ostrich egg.
