On Friday 9 May 2025, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy, rector of the Cathedral, celebrated the Divine Liturgy. Then in the chapel in the name of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, a thanksgiving prayer was offered to the Lord God for the granting of victory in the Great Patriotic War and a requiem liturgy "for our leaders and soldiers who laid down their lives on the battlefield, who died of wounds and gladoes, who were innocently tortured and killed in captivity and bitter labour, and who laboured for the sake of the Victory".
This was followed by a tea party in the parish centre. The parishioners talked about their relatives who took part in the Great Patriotic War and shared their family memories.
