On Sunday, June 11, the parish centre of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh held a traditional annual soup day, timed to coincide with St. Peter's Lent and the beginning of the African winter, which in the southern hemisphere comes just in June.
The parishioners, compatriots, and South Africans gathered to share their favourite works of culinary art and socialise. This time there were 18 different soups. Many thanks to the author of the idea, inspirer and organiser - our elder Sergey Vybornov, to all the cooks and grateful eaters!
