On 20 April 2025, the Feast of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, celebrated Paschal Great Vespers at the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh of the Diocese of South Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He was served by Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi, rector of the cathedral, and Deacon Stephen Hayes, clergyman of the parish.
The service was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to South Africa and part-time Ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho R.E. Ambarov.
At the end of the service, a festive concert was held in the parish centre. There were poems performed by the children of the parishioners.
There was a presentation of a sand cartoon created by the senior group of the Sunday school under the guidance of Matushka Elena.
Pupils of the younger group presented a colourful Easter performance.
Vladyka Konstantin presented each of the Sunday school pupils with a sweet gift.
This was followed by a shared festive meal prepared by the efforts of our parishioners.
