On 14 April Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy celebrated Vespers of Great Friday.
During the singing of the troparions "Good-looking Joseph..." the Shroud with the image of the Lord Jesus Christ lying in the tomb was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
Matins of Great Saturday was then celebrated.
At the end of the Great Glorification, with the funeral bells ringing, the Holy Shroud was carried around the church in a procession, after which the Paremy from the book of the prophet Ezekiel, telling about the general resurrection of the dead, readings from the Apostle and the Gospel - the latter spoke about the sealing of the Saviour's tomb in anticipation of His Resurrection.
At the conclusion of the service, the worshippers made adoration before the Holy Shroud.
