On Sunday 13 April, the feast of the Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
The day before, the all-night vigil was celebrated.
After the reading of the Gospel at Matins, the traditional consecration of palm branches was performed in memory of how the jubilant people welcomed our Lord Jesus Christ entering Jerusalem, covering His way with their clothes and cut branches.

Today we congratulated dear Fr Deacon Stephen on his birthday, his 84th birthday. He was born on 13 April 1941, the day of Saint Hypatius, Saint of Gangra. In January 2025, he became a clergyman of the Cathedral of St Sergius of Radonezh. Now his voice adorns our divine services. In addition to deacon service, he and his mother organise singing during English-language services. Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy warmly congratulated him and presented him with an icon of St Hypatius on behalf of all the parishioners. Together they sang "Long live" to Deacon Stephen.
After the end of the service and tea, we cleaned the church before Holy Week and the Feast of the Pascha of the Lord. Everyone worked together today. Altar boys prepared and cleaned the altar, parishioners cleaned candlesticks, church utensils, carpets, washed the floors.
Thanks to all the hard work!
