On Sunday 12 November Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy celebrated Matins and Divine Liturgy .
After the end of the service, events organised by the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office and the Russian Embassy in honour of the Day of National Unity were held on the territory of the church. Ilya Igorevich Rogachev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to South Africa, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi, rector of the parish, and Yuri Dmitrievich Gerasimov, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo, addressed the audience with welcoming remarks.
Then a festive concert was held. Embassy staff, students of the Russian Embassy School and members of the temple performed. Poems, songs and musical compositions sounded vividly.
The celebration concluded with a meal in the Parish Centre.
