On 8 January 2024, on the eve of Epiphany, the Acting Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Bishop Konstantin of Zaraisk visited the Church in the name of St. John of the Cross in Cape Town (Republic of South Africa), where he celebrated a festive all-night vigil. The service was attended by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Cape Town, A.V. Malenko.
On 19 January, the Feast of the Epiphany, Bishop Constantine celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. John the Venerable in the company of Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy, rector of St. Sergius Church in Johannesburg, Hieromonk Stephan (Igumnov), secretary of the Department for External Church Relations for Inter-Christian Relations, Priest Nicholas Esterhuizen, rector of St. John's Church in Cape Town, and clerics of the exarchate.
At the end of the Liturgy, the archpastor performed the rite of the great consecration of water. Afterwards there was a communion with the parishioners at a festive meal.
On the eve of the feast, Bishop Constantine visited the Church of the Venerable Mary of Egypt in Robertson, where he celebrated a prayer service to this saint, and talked with the priest and parishioners.
