On Saturday 13 May, the feast day of the Apostle James Zebedeev, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy, accompanied by Priest Nicholas Esterhuizen, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. John of the Cross in Cape Town.
After the service, everyone joined together for a warm chat during a tea party.
In recent times the Cape Town church has undergone significant changes. An iconostasis, new images, Golgotha with the image of the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary and Apostle John the Theologian, a wooden ceiling with large icons of the Saviour and the Mother of God, painted by a parishioner of the temple, and a special lift for people with disabilities to the first floor of the building, where the temple is located, have appeared.
