On Saturday, 9 November, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy, dean of parishes of the South African Diocese in South Africa, rector of the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg, celebrated Vespers at the Church of St. Mary of Egypt in Robertson, accompanied by the rector of the church, Father Zachariah Van Wijk.
The service was conducted in Afrikaans and Church Slavonic.
After the service, parishioners of the Cathedral of St Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg presented an icon of St Nicholas and a lamp to the parish of St Mary of Egypt in Robertson.
Archpriest Daniel gave Father Zacharias the seals for the wafer and a set of icons of the feasts of the Twelve Great Feasts.
