On Saturday 24 February the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh was visited by a group of members of the Johannesburg Cultural Heritage Foundation, which for more than 40 years has been involved in the restoration of historic buildings, significant historical monuments and research into the history and culture of South Africa.
The guests were met by the rector of the parish Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi and had a tour of the church, telling about the establishment of the parish in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the construction of the church, its symbols and Orthodox worship.
The temple made a lasting impression on the visitors. During the tour, many questions were discussed about the historical path of Orthodoxy and the life of the Russian Orthodox Church parish in South Africa.
