On 4 May 2025, in the Week of the 3rd Easter, Holy Myrrh-bearing Women, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy, rector of the Cathedral, celebrated Matins and the Divine Liturgy with Archpriest John Lapidus, rector of the Church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
After the service, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy congratulated everyone on the feast and warmly welcomed Archpriest John Lapidus, who was rector of St Sergius Church in Johannesburg from 2004 to 2009. According to a long-standing parish tradition, each parishioner was given flowers in honour of the Feast Day of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women with wishes for peace of mind, joy and God's all-encompassing help.
