On the Bright Easter Night from 4 to 5 May 2024, Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, celebrated the Easter services - midnight vigil, procession, Easter Matins and the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom at the Church of St Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg (South Africa).
His Eminence was served by the rector of the church Archpriest Daniel Lugovoi.
At Paschal Matins, Metropolitan Constantine read the Word of Ophthalmology of St John Chrysostom for Holy Pascha.
At the Liturgy, the Paschal Gospel (John 1:1-17) was read in six languages.
After the Paschal Liturgy, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy read the Paschal Patriarchal Message.
After the intercessory prayer, Metropolitan Constantine consecrated the artos.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Konstantin congratulated the rector and the faithful on the Easter of Christ and gave archpastoral blessing to all.
