On Sunday 2 February, after the service, our congregation saw off Angelina, a long-time parishioner and choir regent since the founding of the church, with warmth and gratitude.
Angelina tirelessly cared not only for the splendid prayer singing in the parish of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the establishment of a choir in Johannesburg, the creation of a parish music library, but also accompanied the rectors on trips to Durban, Cape Town, Mozambique, and Namibia, decorating with her singing the off-site divine services. Her labours laid the foundation for the Orthodox choir in Cape Town, which now sings at services in the church of St John the Ledger.
From the bottom of our hearts we wish Angelina and her family good health, peace of mind, vitality and God's help in the new place!
