On June 3rd and 4th, graduates of the seminary class of 1986 and the academy class of 2001 gathered at the Moscow Theological Academy.
A lot of time has passed since then, but the warm memories of our school years have not diminished at all; indeed, they have contributed to graduates in holy orders arriving at the Lavra for joint prayer and fellowship, not only from the most diverse corners of our Fatherland but also from African and European regions.
Under the vaults of the Pokrovsky Cathedral on June 3rd, during the akathist to Jesus the Sweetest, and on June 4th, during the Divine Liturgy, graduates who had become clergy were in attendance, including archpastors: Archbishop Ionafan of Abakan and Khakassia, Archbishop Gerasim of Vladikavkaz and Alania, Bishop Maksim of Yelets and Lebedyan, Bishop Paramon of Gorodets and Vetluga, and Bishop Evfimiy, Vicar of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.
The memory of departed mentors was honoured, and a memorial lity was prayed at the grave of Archimandrite Kirill (Pavlov), after which the graduates sang an akathist to Saint Sergius in the Trinity Cathedral.
